Talk given to the Better than Ever After Divorce Community

I posted my Talk given to the Better than Ever After Divorce Community before, but learned the link did not work.  As such I got a copy of the mp3 from the organization that hosted the talk and I up loaded directly to the site and undated the post. This is a recording of a talk I was asked to give to an international audience for Better than Ever After Divorce.  Dee Adio-Moses asked me to talk on the topic after interviewing me about my book on her radio show.  Some of the topics Read more [...]

Be The Expert of Your Own Life

I often get asked what my greatest passion is, not just in interviews or Q&A sessions after talks, but by friends as well.  That's always been a difficult question for me to answer, as I have so many different pursuits that I'm highly passionate about.  Friends know that I have a huge passion for writing books on the topics of relationships and dating, they know I have a passion for domestic violence work, a passion for giving talks on relationships, and a passion for countless other things.  Read more [...]

Assessing Emotional Maturity By, Justin Nutt, LMSW

But the truth is that young or old, 6 or 60, isn’t what defines the emotional maturity of a person. The maturity of a person isn’t something that magically is bestowed upon a person when they enter puberty, graduate high school, or turn 21, it is something that comes from within and Read more [...]

Season Swiss Baked Chicken

This was the first thing I ever made for my wife on our first Valentine's Day together.  When choosing which wine to use try a blush or lighter red wine and it is a pretty pinkish red (romantic.)  If you use a dark red wine it will be more purple.  Ceasar salad and roasted garlic parmesan potatoes make great side dishes to Season Swiss Baked Chicken.   Season Swiss Baked Chicken Ingredients  - 1 Can Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup - 1/2 Cup Red Wine - 6 Slices Swiss Cheese Read more [...]

Spring Cleaning for the Soul

With it being spring time, we begin to think about tasks around the home we have put off all winter: cleaning out the garage, washing the windows, and the like.  What we don't commonly think about is taking time to clean the clutter we have accumulated within ourselves over the previous year.  Just as spring ushers in the rebirth of flowers and new life in nature, so too can we usher in new health and a rebirth of purpose. Spring is the perfect season to take the time to evaluate those Read more [...]

I have been extremely busy as of late so it has been awhile since I was able to post some of the requests for advice I have gotten and my replies.  I apologize for that and hope these letters and my replies help some of you know you are not alone in your feelings of being lost or drowning in the great sea of love.       Dear Justin, Is this a normal thing to go through and is it healthy? I went through a period of "longing" I guess you could say where I had her up on a pedestal and I wanted Read more [...]
