Sometimes it’s really hard to get to sleep. Often there are obvious reasons for this like a particularly stressful day, or the neighbours are making a racket or it’s too hot or cold in the bedroom, or your bed partner is a damn fidget! But when there’s not really a clear reason why you just can’t seem to drop off and you’re tossing and turning all night until the early hours it helps to have a little strategy you can put into practice. I devised this one for myself and it really works so if you want a quick trip to dreamland, give it a go…
By this point, the hamster wheel that was going round and round in your head earlier should have stopped and your body and mind will be ready for sleep if, in fact, you’re not already asleep. I find it works every time for me, and I hope it works for you.
