Texting Freddy and Eddy

Social networks, emailing, and texting has become a large portion of our everyday lives. They are also tools we use within our dating world. Personally, I do not allow anyone I am dating to be a “friend” of mine on my social network. With online dating, I have a filtering process. Emailing is the first phase; the next is texting, after talking on the phone then finally the date. Most of the time this has worked very well and my dates are reserved for people whom I share similar interests. I Read more [...]

YOU WANT ME TO DRIVE WHAT???! With a Yours, Mine, and Ours Family

I have a stepdaughter, two children from my previous marriage, and a 21 month old with my husband.  Four was the perfect number and we were all done having children. I Am Woman, Hear Me Roar? (I Need a Man!)

by Gretchen Schiller   I am woman, hear me roar… “I NEED A MAN!” No shit, right? I was just as horrified as you were when that echoed through my mind. But it did. So here I am throwing it out there in case you Pretty Mamas have felt the same on occasion. In Helen Reddy’s infamous song, “I Am Woman,” we can all agree that the context of her lyrics preached the opposite; women do not need men.       Here’s the deal. The King of the Mountain

“Only mediocrity is safe. Therefore, be the best, and get prepared to be attacked.” ~Paulo Coelho   Despair permeated his teenage body, and his spirit. I could feel and smell his dejection as we sat inches apart in the front seat of The Red Scorpion after driving home from his Scout meeting that night. I partially understood the abyss he was teetering on, but I doubted the ability of any words of mine to relieve him. I just hoped that he would eventually understand Read more [...]
